Biohacking -  is a medical and wellness regimen aimed at life prolongation and improvement of its quality, which includes tuning of all vital body functions and processes – nutrition, sleep, physical activity, control of stress level, and harmful environmental influence.

What is biohacking in practice? First, it is an experiment and huge work of a person on himself under the supervision of doctors in the following directions:

Fasting

Scientists all over the world are gradually concluding that controlled abstinence from food can help solve many problems related to aging. The majority of my clients cannot hack the excess weight, but losing it their body successfully copes with a great number of age-associated diseases.

Nutrition

Nutrition correction, diet selection, refusal of harmful food and products causing allergies and/or feeding intolerance, proper nutrition between fasting cycles.

Physical activity

Selection of exercises and training scheduling, enhancement of physical activity effect.

Hormonal state

Check and normalization according to sex and age.

Detoxification

Body detox from toxins and normalization of environmental influence.

Genetics

Detection of genetic risks, hereditary susceptibility for diseases.

Sleep

Sleep normalization.

Cosmetological aspect

Maintaining skin health and beauty. Skin health has a great impact on the emotional state of a person.

Brain activity

Regulation and activation of mentality, attention, and creativity.

Stress management

Correction of emotional response to stressful situations.

Biohacking is based on the engineering view of the human body. First, any man is a biochemical machine. Like all mechanisms, thus, eventually it can break: bones are becoming more fragile, internal organs are aging, the mind is weakening. Biohackers hope that using science and modern technologies, we can make our body work more efficiently and to prolong its lifetime to the uttermost.

Correction of emotional response to stressful situations.

Fasting is a new trend among the richest inhabitants of Silicon Valley. The heads of IT companies “are fasting” for days, estimating their state using special subcutaneous sensors. Perhaps it is something new for them, but for me it is a natural occurrence! In 2019, I was fasting for 72 days, several cycles of 9-12 days!

Jack Dorsey American software architect and entrepreneur, Twitter creator

In January, Jack Dorsey, Executive Chairman of Twitter, announced that he periodically practiced the abstinence from food.
“I do a 22 hour fast daily (dinner only), and recently did a 3 day water fast”, - he noted in his microblog.

Geoffrey Woo The Head of Biotechnological Company “Hvmn”

Other inhabitants of Silicon Valley combine fasting with biohacking - “hack” of their own bodies for their optimization and performance improvement.
Geoffrey Woo, Executive Chairman of H.V.M.N., and his colleagues practiced the abstinence from food for 60 hours.

Justin RezvaniAmerican entrepreneur from Forbes List

Justin Rezvani sold his IT business and decided to improve his life. For several days, the entrepreneur practices the abstinence from food and drinks only water, estimating the blood sugar level with the help of subcutaneous sensor. Such experiment helped him to lose almost 30 kg.

Thus, ladies and gentlemen! Forget the saying hunger is no joke; fasting is just our big sister! The only question is how to organize the correct and safe “biohacker” system of long-lasting fasting! The good news is that it has already been developed and tested, in particular, I am one of its users, and even more, now I am also a coach on long-lasting fasting!

Dr. Valter Longo, managing the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California, specifies the benefits of fasting. He compares this process to the reboot, which affects your body as the chemotherapy affects the tumor.

Abstinence from food prolongs our life and helps us think clearly as well as it relaxes us and reduces stress level better than any pills!

In 2014, Mark Mattson, the head of Neuroscience Laboratory at the US National Institute On Aging and professor of Neuroscience at School of Medicine of Johns Hopkins University, gave a lecture during TED Talks on the benefits of fasting. His researches have shown that fasting has a positive effect on body and brain function, such as lowering blood pressure and improving memory.

Interest in fasting as the main biohacking tool has also grown in 2016 when the Japanese molecular biologist Yoshinori Osumi was rewarded with Nobel Prize in Medicine, who studied autophagy – the process of “self-eating” when the body activated its own cellular resources for getting energy during fasting.

My personal experience also confirms the results of Justin Rezvani! Here is how I looked a few years ago and this is how I look right now!

GartnerResearch consultancy specializing in information technology markets.

AIn 2018, the analytic center Gartner called biohacking one of the five key technological trends of our time. According to researchers, during the following ten years we will live in “transhuman” era. People will learn to directly influence their biological processes and adapt them to their interests and needs.

Perhaps, we will eventually be able to overcome old age and fight off the death.
